Mario S. Gonzalez, M.D., F.C.A.P,
F.A.S.C.P. is President of Pathlink, LLC and Pathlinksolutions,
LLC. Mario is a a board certified pathologist who has
been in the independent practice of pathology throughout
his entire career. He is the current Director of Laboratory
Services for Cathedral Health Systems in Newark, New
Jersey. He serves as Director of the health system's
core laboratory, hospital laboratories, and the Laboratory
Outreach program. Dr. Gonzalez has been a tireless advocate
of the practice Clinical Pathology throughout his career
in specific states and around the country. He has written
papers on how to build a Clinical Pathology Practice
on pathology practice management and staffing and promoted
and developed reflex testing, testing algorithms and
interpretative reporting in the field Clinical Pathology.
He is director of PATHLink, LLC, a pathology practice
management company with pathologists and hospital clients
in the northeast.
Dr. Gonzalez has served in organized pathology at the state and national
levels with the Florida Society of Pathologists, New Jersey Society of Pathologists
and College of American Pathologists (CAP). He served two separate terms
as President of the FSP and originated and participated in multiple state
initiatives for the advancement of pathology in Florida. He has been involved
in government advocacy and lobbying efforts on behalf of organized medicine
and has also been involved more recently CAP committees, most notably working
with CMS and other national specialty organizations in the development of
pay-for-performance initiatives and measures. He is a member of ACPE and
ACHE, committed to life-long education, currently enrolled in Columbia University’s
Executive Master program in public health administration.
Mary Ellen Dito is Pathlink's Director of Operations and Administration for Hospital and Clinical Services.
Mary Ellen is a healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience in both clinical and anatomic pathology administration. Throughout her career she has held various leadership positions including Administrative Director and most recently Assistant Vice President of Clinical Operations. Her experience encompasses a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, multi-site systems, core lab operations, home care and outreach services. She holds an MBA from Wagner College and a BS in Medical Technology from the College of Staten Island. Mary Ellen brings extensive laboratory and professional pathology management and operational experience, quality and clinical excellence to Pathlink.
